“You can only get beyond the surface by working with the surface.
I have great faith in surfaces. A good one is full of clues.”
— Richard Avedon, 1970
"In the material world, you cannot fit the large into the small. However, in the realm of spiritual
values, it is not the same: the small can fit the large. And if you try to fit the small into the large,
the large will simply cease to exist."
— Dmitry Likhachev
The magic of the unknown is the only constant in our lives. When two artists—Elvira Iurova, a jewelry creator, and Natalya Urmanova, a portraitist—came together, no one could have predicted that their friendship would become a foundation for self-exploration and life-changing realizations, leading to the creation of this joint exhibition.

At the heart of their work lies the belief that the human soul is limitless. The question is: how do we access its full potential? The artists believe that art is one of the greatest means of planting new seeds in our consciousness and its expansion, it serves as a gentle reminder : “Look, everything has always been within you!”
What if we imagine that the human soul is a divine masterpiece that possesses all the knowledge and qualities it needs, but at birth, it is handed to us as a blank canvas, giving us the joy of painting our very own unique portrait? And here life begins, stroke by stroke, creating a lifelong portrait made of experiences, feelings, gains, and losses, where every acquaintance adds a fragment to the canvas. In life, just like in art, the completion of the picture is not the final goal; rather, it is seeing the beauty in each fragment that matters.

Thus, the heroes of Natalya Urmanova's portraits are not just documented; they are offered a chance to see something that may even contradict their own self-image. Like in alchemy, chemical process can bring to life a precious element, these portraits can awaken a dormant power and offer an expanded self-vision, revealing the profound beauty that we tend to overlook.
What a portrait actually brings to life is never predictible, but it surely provides clues for a deeper understanding of oneself. “I don’t search for a hero with a specific story, i rather stay open and curious”, says Natalya.
El'eete jewelry, created by Elvira lurova, represents the quintessence of true deep inner beauty and strength intertwined into precious stones symbols - a jewellery portrait that whispers: “Nothing is impossible for you!”
To think in symbols is to possess boundless knowledge of all times. The ability to tap into the human soul and embody it as jewelry is a delicate, intricate art of feeling. Viktoriia Saifutdinova, a Digital Artist, in collaboration with Elvira Iurova, created a series of AI movies, to show the sacral meaningful process of emergence of an El’eeté jewellery portrait.
